Mavis M. (Fuller) Johnson, 90, of Livingston, Montana passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Caslen Living Center in Livingston. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 4, at the Franzen-Davis Chapel with the Reverend Monty Casebolt as Celebrant. Graveside committal and burial will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery. Fellowship and a meal will be held at Livingston Bible Church (329 N 5th Street) following the burial. Mavis was born on April 4, 1924 at Chico Hot Springs. She was the daughter of Floyd and Susie B. (Rasnick) Fuller. The Fuller family homesteaded at Mill Creek. She received her education in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park County High School Class of 1941. Mavis furthered her education in Billings, she attended the Eastern Montana Normal School earning her teaching certificate. Mavis went on to teach school at Springdale and Duck Creek for a total of 14 years. Upon her return from Billings she met Harold James Johnson. On August 27, 1949 Mavis was united in marriage to Harold at her parents home at Mill Creek. This marriage was blessed with three children, Mazie, James and Judy. Mavis and Harold made their home in Springdale at Hunters Hot Springs in 1961. Mavis loved history and was a member of Springdale Historical Society. Mavis loved old time music, going to fiddlers jamborees and any old timey musical event she could. Mavis and Harold treasured the time they spent fishing together. She enjoyed playing cards and her quilting projects. She had made a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. Mavis was extremely dedicated to her family. She worked hard and could accomplish anything she put her mind to. We will always remember her laugh after being caught coming back from the raspberry field in her yard with red hands and no berries. Her grand-kids will always fondly remember her in her lush garden, naming every flower and teaching them how to care for each one. Mavis will be remembered for her generosity in the community and her award winning jam and homemade rolls. Blessed be her memory Mavis is survived by her: Son, James Johnson and his wife, Tracy of Laurel, MT and Daughter, Judy Story and her husband, Mark of Bozeman, MT. Her Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, Shandi Story and her daughter, Jaden, Jinny Story and Cissy Story; Tyler Johnson and his wife Amanda and their daughter, Isabella, Lindsay Johnson, Jessi Johnson, Erin Zindler and her daughter, Annelise and Cara Zindler and her son, Logan Carr. Brother, Norland Fuller of Washington. Nieces nephews and many other relatives and friends. Mavis is preceded in death by her Parents, Floyd and Susie Fuller, Husband of 51 years, Harold Johnson, Daughter, Mazie and Siblings, Wayne Fuller and Thelma Johnson. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
