Mervin Lloyd Hudson, 75, passed away from complications of pneumonia in Billings on May 11, 2022. Mervin was born to Eva and Rolla Hudson on September 5, 1946, in Livingston. He graduated from Park High School in 1966.
After graduation Mervin enlisted in the Navy and served for 20 years. He was a photographer and took photos from aircraft for reconnaissance purposes during his time in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for the Postal Service, and had his own photography business which he ran for several years.
Mervin settled in the hills outside of Helena with his beloved dog “Princess”. He enjoyed the mountains, hunting, and fishing as well as his mountain home. Mervin was a proud member of the Sgt. Tommy Ray VFW Post 2154 in Livingston. When he could no longer live alone, he moved to the Eastern Montana Veteran’s Home in Glendive.
Mervin was preceded in death by his parents, Rolla and Eva Hudson. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Hudson; three children, Rex Hudson, Christina Hudson, and Cynthia Hudson; sister, Reta Lund; and a brother, Dale Hudson.
A graveside service with military honors will take place Friday, May 20, 2022, at 1:30 p.m., at Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston. Visitation will be available prior to the service, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home, 118 N 3rd Street, Livingston. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
