Michael Lelen "Mike" Goetz, 59, of Livingston, Montana passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his home of natural causes. A Celebration of LIFE Service will be held 10 A.M., Saturday January 10, at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home (118 N 3rd St) in Livingston. We will have a time of sharing so please bring a story to share. A fellowship luncheon will follow the service at the Shane Lalani Center (415 E Lewis St.; Livingston). A wine and beer social and viewing will be held at Franzen-Davis on Friday, January 9, from 6-9 P.M. Mike was born on November 26, 1955 in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of Robert and Barbara (Thompson) Goetz. He received his education in Renton, WA and was a graduate of the Renton High School Class of 1974. Mike started out working for his father who owned and operated Renton Auto and Marine as a boat mechanic. He later met the love of his life, Penny L. Boullion and on February 14, 1977, Mike was united in marriage to Penny in Renton. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Corey and Casey. As Mike furthered his career he began employment with the Sound Ford dealership Renton, WA. He worked 18 years for them as the Assistant Parts Manager. After raising their family Mike and Penny decided to make a change moving to Livingston, MT in August of 2000. Mike was inspired to make the move for the bountiful hunting lands and the rural atmosphere. While living in Montana Mike has worked for several dealerships in the parts department; most recently working for Billion in Bozeman. Mike and Penny shared 37 years of marriage. Mike enjoyed any activity he could do outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing for salmon, camping, floating the river, ranching, his horses and just hanging out with friends. He loved sports, always cheering on his beloved Seahawks and Mariners. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. Mike will be remembered for his quiet sometimes stubborn demeanor, unless you got his hot temper going An honest man, loyal hardworking and thoughtful. A husband of 37 years, he has been a God-send to Penny; a truly devoted partner and best friend for life. Mike cared for Penny with everything he had and pampered her in any way he could. He always has had a tender spot in is heart for children and played Harley Santa during his favorite time of the year, Christmas. His sons and grandchildren and even some friends will forever hold dear his yearly phone calls when he would sing happy birthday to them or give his Party Time Ahhhahhaaaa holler. We were blessed with the time we had with him and will forevermore hold him close in our hearts. Mike is survived by his: Loving wife Penny Goetz of Livingston, MT. Son, Corey Goetz and his wife, Charana of Puyallup, WA and Step-Daughter, Tori Fletcher; Son, Casey (Shawna) Goetz of Kent, WA and their children, Hunter, Erin, Spencer and Tayler. Siblings, Michelle Harrison and her husband, J.R. of Renton, WA; Ted Sanders of Auburn, WA; Tracey Swart and her husband, Rob of Roseville, CA and a Step-Brother, Jeff Dondero of Sumner, WA. Mother-in-law, Donna Boullion of Clyde Park, MT. Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Vicki Lohman and her husband, Dave of Clyde Park, MT; Joan Warwick and her husband, Dave of Kent, WA; John Boullion and his wife, Robyn of Coeur d'Alene, ID; Karen Mladineo and her husband, Greg of Redondo Beach, CA; Cheryl Tanneberg and her husband, Ron of Meridian, ID and Tammy Krall and her husband, Todd of Renton, WA Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his Parents, Robert Goetz and Barbara Sanders; Step-Mother, Sue Goetz and Father-in-law Ernie Boullion.
