Mildred Nancy (Logan) Carter, 83, of Pine Creek, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, May 30, at the Holbrook United Methodist Church at the corner of Lewis and Fifth Streets with Pastor Harlan Durgan of Living Hope Church officiating. A reception will follow the funeral at Holbrook Hall. Graveside committal and burial will follow the reception at the Shorthill cemetery, south of Livingston. If so desired, memorials may be directed to Living Hope Church in memory of Mildred. Mildred was born July 14, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Norma Logan. At the age of 7 her mother died and she then lived with Floyd and Mildred Nelson of Paradise Valley. She Attended Pine Creek School and graduated from Park County High School. In 1949 she married Albert Carter and they had two sons Allen and Gary. Albert died in 1953. In 1956 Mildred married Howard Carter. Mildred had a full life and was very involved in all aspects of the family ranch in Paradise Valley. She was known for her cooking, gardening, and home-making skills. She enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans and other gifts for family and friends. She had a deep love for God and cherished her family. She is survived by her sons, Allen and his wife, Babe (Durgan) of Pine Creek, Gary and his wife, Coralie (Askin) of Gallatin Gateway; three grandchildren, Gene Carter and his wife, Anita of Pine Creek, Taralie Ballard and her husband, Jason of Edgewood, NM and Andy Carter and his wife, Lezah of Stanfield, AZ; six great-grandchildren, Brandt and Riley Carter, Lauren and Brynn Ballard and Colton and Tanner Carter. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands Albert and Howard Carter and numerous brothers and sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
