Millie Alice (Admire) Ray

Millie Alice (Admire) Ray, age 91, of Livingston, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 22, 1 pm, at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Chapel in Livingston. Viewing will be held Friday, March 21, 3-6 pm at Franzen-Davis; also, one hour prior to the funeral at Franzen-Davis. Graveside committal will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fellowship will follow the interment at the Livingston Elks Club (130 S. 2rd Street). Millie was born on January 2, 1923, in Belgrade, Montana. She was the daughter of Melvin and Estella (Davis) Admire. She received her education in Belgrade and was a graduate of the Belgrade High School Class of 1941. On January 17, 1942 Millie was united in marriage to Donald E. "Buzz" Ray, in Ballantine, Montana. This marriage was blessed with four children, Marlene, Dee, Donny and Randy. Millie and Don resided in Laurel for a short time before moving to Livingston in 1946 following Don returning from deployment with the Marines Corp., Don resumed his position with the railroad and Millie took on the job of raising her family and keeping the home in order. Millie was able to spend her time in Livingston at the same home they move to in 1946. They shared 59 years of marriage. Millie enjoyed reading and playing "old sol". Later in life her and Don joined the Livingston Country Club and golfed regularly. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Blessed be her memory. Millie is survived by her: Children, Marlene Lewis and her husband Taylor of Willard, MO, Dee Burns and her husband Jim of Livingston, MT and Randy Ray and his wife Linda of Whitefish, MT. Grandchildren, Tracee Pope and her husband Rick, Tim Lewis and his wife Leigh, Meredith Walsh and her husband Joel, Natalie Holm and her husband Brad, Darroch Burns and his wife Jeni, Randy Ray and Chelsea Mossfeldt and her husband Kyle. 7 Great-grandchildren, Courtney, Audrey, Wyatt, Nick, Elsie, Maizie and Lanie. Dear friend, Randi Adams. Many other relatives and friends. Millie is preceded in death by her Parents, Melvin and Stella Admire, Husband, Don Ray, Son, Donny Ray, Grandson in infancy, Baby Boy Ray, as well as, 6 Siblings. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
