Our Sweet Mother, Nancy Edwards Gaustad, left this world March 19, 2015 to join her mom and dad, Roy & Louise Edwards, and her sister and brother-in-law, Jean & Roy Weamer. Our Mom was born on September 24, 1935 in Livingston and was joined by her best friends for life, sisters, Jean (Weamer) and Dorothy (Varland) and brother, Dan Edwards. They spent their childhood growing up in Livingston spending time with their beloved Granny Adkins and extended family. She married Harold (Buck) Gaustad on August 10, 1958 in Livingston. Their four children, Kimberlee Kae (David Bessler), Daniel James (Everlyne), Robin Rae and Susan Louise (Carter Atkinson) were all born in Bozeman. They lived in Bozeman, Great Falls, Gardiner and Glendive before returning to Livingston. We may have lived in many houses, but our Mom made each one a home. Buck & Nancy moved to California when they found out they were going to be Grandparents for the first time. Many happy memories were made with their twin grandchildren, Blaine & Andrea Bessler. Mom then spent three years in Atlanta, with her son and newest granddaughter Ivy Ann (Gaustad). She returned to Livingston, where she was able to spend time with her parents, Roy & Louise, in their final years. We were all so thankful that she was with them. She got involved with the Park County Senior Citizen Center and was elected President in 2005. She was also a member of the Mount Hyalite Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Park County Pioneers Society. She was always interested in what was happening in her hometown and always wanted the best for Livingston. Two years ago, Susan and Carter (Atkinson), moved to Montana with Moms youngest granddaughter, Poppy. It has been such a blessing for Poppy to get to know her grandmother. We often teased with our Mom about being Switzerland, as she pretended she didnt have an opinion. Although, we all know better. She never said or did anything out of meanness (even when she handed out a Gramma Surprise!) and we believe it is true that she was loved by all who knew her. It was an honor and a blessing to be with her for her last breath, as she gave us our first. We made sure she heard our laughter and her loving hands wiped our tears for the last time. We want to thank all of you in Livingston and in Bozeman, who helped make our Moms final journey peaceful. Our Mom leaves behind a family who loved her greatly and her many cousins, nieces and nephews. We all looked to her for answers, as she had the sharpest memory, and she was the smartest woman we knew. We will carry you in our hearts forever, Mom. We love you INFINITY. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
