Nevada "Sis" Ann RobertsonApril 13, 1919 January 18, 2020Tenacity, strength, compassion, and love best describe our dear Mother and Grandma. Nevada "Sis" Robertson was a woman of incredible talents and motivations born in Meaderville (Butte), MT on April 13, 1919 to her loving parents Charles and Nevada Glass. Sis was born alongside her twin, and cherished Brother John, in the family home, with her Grandmother delivering both 9 pound babies. Sis grew up during the height of the depression with her five siblings, often reflecting about the familys struggles and triumphs when working together to succeed.Sis was renowned for her home cooked meals, like Meaderville Pasties, the best biscuits around, and mouthwatering pies. She opened a restaurant in Boulder, MT and bought only the best ingredients. By herself she also cooked three meals a day for 19 miners at the Redbird Mine in Idaho.In 1958 Sis gave birth to her daughter, and "the most beautiful baby she had ever seen" Kim. She raised Kim as a single, working mother; in which she took immense pride. Nevada made her home in Boulder, MT, Salt Lake City, UT, Clancy, MT, and Helena, MT throughout her working years.Sis proudly served Mountain Bell Telephone Company for 36 years as a telephone operator and supervisor. She retired in 1981 to care for her most adoring grandchildren and spend more time golfing, bowling, gardening, and taking long walks. "Grandma", as she asked to be called by everyone that met her, spent her life ensuring others were properly fed, comfortable, well rested, hugged, kissed, and loved.She was never one to give up and it was a family struggle for her to finally give up driving at 93, and to no longer live alone at 96. At that time she became a warm addition to the home of family in East Helena. It was a true joy to have her at home, helping to raise her great-grandchildren. Jaxsen and Trenten were treasures and the smile on her face, with them just in the room with her, made all of the struggles of aging worthwhile.Nevada is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law Kim and Jeremy Wollitz, her grandsons and granddaughters-in-law Shane and Brook Feist, Wes and Dani Feist, Aaron Wollitz, and Cole Wollitz and Naomi Smith. She is also survived by those for whom she had the most affection; her great grandchildren Kaleigh, Lauryn, Jaxsen, Libby, and Trenten, many nieces and nephews; including her very special nieces Nancy, Colleen, and Sherry.A private Family Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held, in her honor, at a later date.
