Richard Payne III, 42, of Clyde Park, passed away of natural causes on November 3, 2018. He was born August 10, 1976 in Livingston, MT to Richard Payne Jr. and Susan (Conway) Payne. He was the first of 4 children and took is role very seriously. He taught his brothers to walk by age 10 months.He and his brothers had a lot of adventures from jumping off the Interstate Bridge at the age of 10, 8, and 6. They terrorized the Five Acre Tracks with their BB guns and motorcycles. He was hooked by the age of 10 days old and spent the rest of his life riding his motorcycle. It didnt matter day or night, summer or winter, he was on his bike. He excelled at sports. He started wrestling at age 4 and played baseball from T-Ball to Legion. He graduated in 1995 from Park High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy, he served 2 tours. He was stationed at the Pearl Harbor and was on the USS Cushing. While he was stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station his daughter Makayla was born to Kari and Richard. They were then stationed at Point Mugu Navel Air Station.He moved back to Livingston after his service. Here he worked at many different jobs and his second daughter Hope was born. He also had his third child son Exzavier. He had many trials in life and was far from perfect. He will always be remembered for his laugh, cooking weird food, and his wonderful dance moves, which he taught his sister Amber. He finally got his dream job of crafting handmade furniture. He also took up painting in the last part of his life and was very good at it. He loved and lived an adventurous life, not doing or being what everyone else would have understood.As he told his daughter Makayla on their last hike, "the only thing you should fear in life, is not living" (words to live by). He enjoyed hiking with his daughter Hope and was a good listener, and not judgmental of other people, she will miss that. His favorite saying about himself was I am obsessive, compulsive, habitual, reclusive, dangerous, loyal, and my word is my bond.He is survived by his parents, Susan and Richard Payne Jr.; daughters, Makayla and Hope, son, Exzavier; brothers, Andy (Tami) Payne, Nick (Kora) Payne; sister, Amber Payne. Grandmother, Shirley Payne; uncles, Sheen Conway, Clark Payne, and Jerry Payne; aunts; Linda Wiles, Pat Conway, Donna Conway, Martha Hampson, and Anna Lynch; nieces, Karlie, Athena, nephews Lincoln, Braden, Gabe and lots of cousins. Also, his friend Bree who he had many grand adventures and motorcycle rides with.He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Richard Payne and Tom Conway, grandmother, Edith Barr, uncles, Will, Gene and Alan, and aunt, Ireane Payne.There will be a graveside memorial will be 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 17th at Strickland Creek Cemetery on Old Yellowstone Trail; a luncheon will follow at the Living Hope Church on the corner of South 3rd and West Clark.
