Rita Wilhelmine McAdam joined our Heavenly Father on September 14th 2022.
Our precious Oma was born in Germany on April 4th 1947. At the age of nine she traveled with her mother and older brother to California to be closer to her sister. Rita would be introduced to her future husband, Freddy, in the late-1960’s and moved to Montana shortly after. Freddy and Rita were married on April 1st, 1971. Montana had so many new experiences for Rita, like catching snow in a cup during her first snow storm. She began work in Montana at Montana State University then transitioned to Park Electric in Livingston, where she worked for more than forty years, retiring in 2015.
Most recently, Rita was enjoying her retirement being part of the beautifully chaotic household of her nephew, Chris’, large blended family. Which includes his wife, Ashley, and their six kiddos, together they did it all; school events for the kids, road trips, and evenings filled with laughter, family dinners, homework, and of course, episodes of The Big Bang Theory or NCIS. We miss our precious Oma dearly and will hold the love she had for all of us (and of course her animals), in our hearts forever.
Rita was preceded in death by her mother, sister (Lola), brother (Dieter), father (Fred) and mother (Francis) in-law, husband (Fred aka Punky), niece (Sonja), and sister-in-law (Jeanie). Rita is survived by her brother-in-laws (Mearl and Toby (Greta)), nieces (Kelli (Jason) and GeoLyn), nephews (Greg (Michelle) and Chris (Ashley), great-nieces (Sophie, Gertrude, Daisy, Pfeiffer, Pheobe, and HaiLyn), and great-nephews (Cole, Bayjn, and Kendrix), her sweet pup Gracie and bird Lou.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Rita, to your local humane society, so that her love of all animals may continue.
Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
