Robert M. Bob Turley

Robert M. "Bob" Turley, age 55, of the Shields Valley, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020. A celebration of Bobs life and spirit will be held 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, hosted at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home, 118 N 3rd Street, Livingston. Veterans honors will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery.Bob was born October 17, 1964 in Harlowton, Montana to Sam and Sandra Turley. Bob grew up in Livingston graduating from Park High School in 1983. He later joined the United States Navy to see the world and served in Desert Storm. After the Navy, he graduated from DeVry University with a degree in Electronic Engineering paving his way for a career at Lockheed Martin. He was honored by NASA and received a teamwork award created from a piece of the space shuttle Discovery.Bob returned to Livingston in 2014 and cared for his father, Sam Turley. He was a blessing to all of us. His plans for his future were always on his mind. He always had a carefree spirit ready to take on the next challenge or adventure without a second thought. Bob loved warm weather and family.Family was at the core of who Bob was. His mom, Sandra Turley was his strength. She knew him better than anyone. Bobs devotion to his mom was a large part of what kept him believing in what tomorrow could be. Bob was extremely proud to be the father of Aubrey, Connor, and Robert J. Turley. His children filled him with all the joy in his world. Bob would always start a conversation with family talking about his kids. His childrens every accomplishment made him even more proud of them, like when he walked his daughter, Aubrey, down the aisle and then officiated her beautiful wedding.Friends and family will remember Bob by his innate ability to have an intelligent conversation and his sense of humor. He could tell a story and have the whole room laughing easily. He will surely be missed; what Bob brought to this world cannot be replaced.He is survived by: his sons, Connor Turley and Robert J. Turley; daughter, Aubrey Belle (Cody) Gormley; his mom, Sandra Turley; and sister, Stacey (Michael) Raw; niece, Meaghan and nephew, Morgan Raw; half-sister, Brenda (David) Rageth; half-brother, Sam (Diane) Buckman; uncle, Kip (Haydee) Turley; aunts, Rosie (Harry) Vandervoort, Barbara Vandenburg, Patsy (Joe) Parker; uncles, Larry (Margie) Tritschler, Dave (Barbara) Tritschler and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Bob is preceded in death by his dad, Samuel M. Turley; his grandparents, Royal and Nan Turley and Mary and Joseph Tritschler; aunts and uncles, John, Andrew, Gerald, and Paul Tritschler, Ellen Nimmons, Mary Kern, and Kathleen Jensen.
