Roy D. Humbert, age 93, of Livingston, died Sunday, September 29, 2013, at his home with his wife by his side. No Funeral Service will be held per Roy's request. Cremation has taken place at the Franzen-Davis Crematory. Roy Donald Humbert was born on January 20, 1920, in Scobey, Montana. He was the son of Roy B. and Clara (Herreid) Humbert. He received his education in Scobey, MT and was a graduate of the Scobey High School. Roy entered active military service in the United States Army on August 21, 1946, and served his country in Japan during WWII. He received an Honorable Discharge on December 11, 1947. On July 18, 1953, Roy was united in marriage to Clarice Jackson, in Scobey. Roy and Clarice resided in Scobey, Lewistown, Malta and Billings. They later moved to Livingston where they lived taking in the beautiful view from their living room window for many years. They shared 60 years of marriage. Roy was employed by Montana State as a Manager for the Job Services. He began his career in 1948, as an interviewer and moved up to Manager. He retired in 1979. Roy was a member of the Masons and Scottish Rite in Livingston as well as, the Livingston Golf and Country Club and the Al Bedoo Shrine in Billings. He was also a member of the American Lutheran Church in Livingston. Roy enjoyed his time fishing, golfing reading and playing cards especially cribbage. Roy is survived by his: Loving Wife of 60 years, Clarice Humbert of Livingston; 23 Nieces and Nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. As well as many other relatives and friends. Roy is preceded in death by his Parents, Roy and Clara Humbert and 5 Sisters and 1 Brother. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
