Sandra Lynn Seely passed away at her home in Livingston on November 20, 2023.
Sandy was born November 17, 1951, to Dewey and Louise Jarrett Thompson. In 1969, she met her husband-to-be while she worked as a carhop at the A&W in Livingston. They were married soon after and have spent 53 years together.
Sandy worked for the Livingston school district for 30 years. First as a playground aide at East Side, and then as the head baker. Sandy loved serving lunch to the thousands of children and the children loved her, or at least loved the cinnamon rolls that she made for them. She would spend her summers working on the paint crew for the School District. Just about every District building has her handiwork somewhere.
Sandy spent many years bowling on leagues through Treasure Lanes and made many friends there with her outgoing and easy manner. Sandy donated her time baking and quilting and supporting the American Legion Auxiliary, holding officer positions as Secretary and Treasurer. She helped with the Poppy Drive every year.
She loved to fish. It was always who got the First, Biggest, and Most.
“I did - don’t listen to Bob!”
Sandy is survived by her husband Robert; children Wendy (Sean) Prather and Perry (Andrea) Seely; grandchildren Ashley, Colin, and Aiden; step grandchildren Alyson Ankney, Alexander Ankney, and Ruby Levy; sisters Patsy (Dean) Brandon, Gayle (Herb) Belcher, Marcia (Larry) Noe, and brother James (Judy) Thompson. In-laws Janet (Dennis) Louden, Kathleen (Lynn) Irby, Dorothy (Terrace) Havlerson; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, very special friends and "found" children. Preceded in death by her parents and sister Shirley (Gayle) Maroney.
In her words, "May God bless and keep all of my family and friends, and I will see you again."
