Sharon Lee Currie

Sharon Lee (Beal) Currie, 78, born in San Diego, CA October 5, 1942, passed away May 2, 2021. She was born to Donald C. and Carol V. Beal. The daughter of a military man, she spent most of her life in southern California and graduated from Palo Alto High School. Sharon moved with the family to Salt Lake City, UT where she would soon meet her future husband, Robert A. "Bob" Currie. They married in SLC on December 22, 1962, and soon thereafter moved back to Bozeman, MT. Sharon would be a stay-at-home mom while traveling the world for her husband's career. The Netherlands, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and then finally back home to the Bozeman area in 1997. Upon moving back to Montana, they purchased the "Old Buffalo Ranch" on the Bozeman Pass. In addition to being a stay-at-home mom, Sharon was an accomplished artist, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Art History, from West Chester State College. Her eye for art, beauty, and style was applied well as she adorned her beloved Lenape Springs Farm, into an extremely popular Bed and Breakfast decades before the popularity of Air B&B. Upon moving back home to Montana she applied the same love of the arts by finishing the interior of the "Lodge" of the "Old Buffalo Ranch" into the perfect "Grandmother's Place." Sharon loved music, especially singing acapella within the Churches of Christ and Sweet Adeline's in Bozeman.Sharon had three sons and an almost-adopted son. Robert N. Currie, Donald T. Currie, William R. Currie and Scott A. Sittig. Of course, to mom, they were Nicky, Timmy, Rusty, and Scotty. Sharon loved her daughters-in-laws even up to her final days she was praising Susan, Linda, and Shelley. Sharon had 7 grandchildren: Aaron, Paulo, Peter, Jake, Drew, Noel, and Ben. Furthermore, she could always be counted on to watch Hank, Clyde, Ruby, Zeke, Makita or whatever, beloved dogs her boys brought home. She was preceded in death by her parents and two older brothers. She will be missed by her surviving husband, children, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at the Livingston Church of Christ, 919 W. Park St. Livingston, MT, Saturday June 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with a reception to follow at The Shane Center Community Room, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Bridger Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in the name of Sharon Currie to Yellowstone Bible Camp Foundation; 909 Nevada Belgrade, MT 59714. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
