Tanya Bobrow Baker, affectionately known as Klava or Tia Klaudia, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at Livingston Healthcare Hospital. She was 87 years old.
Born on May 6, 1937, Tanya was the daughter of the late Daniel and Maria Bobrow. She was born in Russia and, along with her four brothers and sister, immigrated to the United States at the age of 21, after journeys through Germany and Venezuela. She lived her later years in Golden Age Village in North Glastonbury Emigrant.
Tanya was a truly free spirit, with a vibrant and creative soul. Her passions included painting, gardening, and designing clothing. She had a keen eye for style and even owned clothing design stores in Fiji, Spain, and Las Vegas. Her adventurous spirit also led her to work as a stewardess for Avensa Airlines.
Known for her great and unique sense of humor, Tanya brought joy and laughter to those around her. She had a deep love for animals, especially her cherished pets, Gato the cat and Ceidi the dog.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. "Will miss you a lot, Tia. Say hello to my dad, uncles, and Grandma that I know you wish to see. I LOVE YOU."
She leaves behind a legacy of creativity, resilience, and love.
