Vaughn E. Johnson, of Paradise Valley, died in the early morning on Saturday, May 14, 2016. A Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 20, at 11A.M., at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church on 12th street and Geyser. An open house will follow at the Johnson home. Vaughn, known to many of us as "VJ", was born in Iowa in the year 1927. His early working years were spent on cattle ranches being a cowboy. VJ also served our country in the army, in Korea. He then ventured to Alaska where he was a hunting guide and a bush pilot.....one of his biggest loves was his Super Cub! He then decided to sell real estate and eventually landed back in Montana brokering ranch properties. The Pinto Ranch then became his living dream. Vaughn got into Katahdin sheep and working sheep dogs and in the process worked very hard to bring some of the best sheep and border collie genetics to this part of the country. "THE" love of his life....Naomi, his wife, has given VJ some parting words...."VJ, fly away home my love. I'll be on a later flight." Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Livingston.
