"The Wiz" Vernon Boyd Kithcart, 84, of Livingston, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at his home with family at his side. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory and a Gathering of Friends and Family will be held 5-7 P.M., Thursday October 30, at the Northern Pacific Beanery (108 W Park Street). All are encouraged to come and celebrate The Wizards life. Memorials are preferred to: Loaves and Fishes,301 S Main Street; Livingston, MT 59047. Vernon was born on November 6, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Boyd Leland and Nellie Margaret (Thomas) Kithcart. He received his education in Kansas City. His father was a Chiropractor, Naturopath, Vaudeville Entertainer and a Dance Instructor. His mother was a Nurse and artist. The Wiz started out his career as a salesman for Electrolux, then for Encyclopedia Britannica. He was an artist and actor; also a student, then teacher, of many disciplines including the Healing Arts. The Wiz leaves behind friends, family, two X-wives, and many girlfriends. Our peace is with him. Vernon is survived by his: Daughters, Margaret Padgitt and her husband Eugene of Independence, MO; Alice Brink of Prairie Village, KS; Son, Frank Kithcart and his wife Aileen of Independence, MO. Grandchildren, Maria McKenzie and her husband Henry; Rachel Cline and her husband Ricky; Katrina, Sheryl, Tommy, and Benjamin, and seven great-grandchildren. Best friend George Denton and his wife Lily Gold, and many other friends. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
