Vinca Lynn (Brown) Hougen, 57, of Livingston, Montana, passed away following a long illness on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016 at her home. Per Vincas wishes her body has been donated to the WWAMI Medical Education Program at MSU, Bozeman, a formal service will not be held. Memorial donations may be sent to the Livingston HealthCare Hospice. Vinca was born on January 13th, 1959, in Los Angles, California. She was the daughter of Mack and Lynn (Hain) Brown. She received her education in Ukiah, California and was a graduate of the South Valley High School Class of 1976. She furthered her education at Montana State University - Bozeman, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Class of 1999. Blessed be her memory, she was an independent woman who excelled at everything she set her mind to do, she was passionate about fly fishing, guiding, and fly tying and made many friends in that field. She was an avid reader, master of many crafts, a superb gardener and musically inclined. She loved the outdoors and all creatures this world held. Vinca is survived by her: Parents, Mack & Lynn Brown, sisters, Stephanie Brown, husband Jonathan Barber and Cynthia Brown, husband Paul Burns and Eva (Brown) Martinez, Husband, Jeff Martinez, Brother, Steven Brown, Son, Ricky Newcomb, Aunt, Carol Wick, and Special Friend Anthony Steffins, and many other relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known her. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
