Virginia R. Ginny (Ruoff) Flick

Virginia Flick passed away July 24th at the age of 90. She was a resident of Caslen Living Center for a bit over two years where she received superb care from a wonderful staff of exceptionally caring people. Ginny and her husband Bill were married for 73 years and have lived in Paradise Valley for 33 years. They moved there from the northern Adirondacks in New York State, about 40 miles from Lake Placid, New York. She loved an outdoor life and enjoyed big game hunting, fishing and gardening. The shelves in her basement were lined with canned goods, and three freezers were well supplied with vegetables and produce from the woods and waters. Her first year after moving to Montana, she drew a moose tag which she filled that year along with 3 antelope, a deer and an elk. The Flick family never lacked for food. Ginnys biggest trophy was a black bear of over 500 lbs. which was larger than anything her husband had ever shot or seen. She is survived by her husband Bill; son, Craig of Emigrant, MT; daughter, Carol of Virginia, who was at her side at the time of her death. Her daughter Connie, who passed away nine years ago predeceases her. Ginny was lucky to have five grandchildren and three great granddaughters. No services are planned, and the family wishes to adjust to life without Ginny in a quiet manner in beautiful Paradise Valley.
