Virginia M. "Ginny" OHair, 76, of Paradise Valley, Montana, passed away Friday, August 12th, 2016, at her home with her loving family by her side. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 17th, at the Livingston Christian Center (1400 Mount Baldy Drive, Livingston) with Reverend David Gunderson officiating and Sandy Williams assisting. The service will be followed by a reception and further celebration of Ginnys life at the Christian Centers Fellowship Hall. Ginny was born on July 9th, 1940, the first baby to be born at the new hospital in Chico Hot Springs. She was the daughter of Harold P. and Barbara L. (Bonnell) Dailey. She was raised in the Emigrant area prior to the familys move to Absarokee in 1954. She was a graduate of the Absarokee High School Class of 1958. Following her graduation she moved to Spokane, Washington, to attend the Kinmen Business School. Ginny then relocated to Livingston, Montana, where she had come to live with her grandparents. She began her working career with a job as bookkeeper for the Yellowstone Dairy; she later took an office job with Dr. Heetderks as his bookkeeper. Ginny was reintroduced to a handsome gentleman, Jerry, while attending the Hereford Banquet at the Montana Winter Fair. On July 3rd, 1964, Ginny was united in marriage to Jerry OHair in Bozeman. This marriage was blessed with two children: a son, Justin, and daughter, Julie. They have been blessed to have shared 52 years of marriage together. Following the marriage she went to work for Montana Power as their bookkeeper and then was offered a job with Park Electric Co-Op Inc. She worked as their bookkeeper and then the role of Office Manager after the retirement of Arthur Cool. She provided them a 30 year career, retiring in 2000. Her time spent as a member of the team was filled with great friends. They all knew if you needed a friend to turn to, you went to visit with Ginny, and she was always there to listen and help in any way possible. Ginny was a member of the Park County Pioneer Society and an Alumni to the Park County FFA. She loved supporting the FFA and 4-H and anything for the youth of the community. In her retirement years Ginny was not one to sit still. She did the ranch books for Jerry and took on the most meaningful work of her life, helping to raise and always supporting her grandchildren. She enjoyed her annual visits to Wickenburg, Arizona, in the winter with Jerry. She was a true matriarch to her family. She was the glue to hold everyone together and the guide to make sure all were doing as they should. Her home was a home of love where gatherings took place, stories were shared, and memories made. Her beautiful soul was a blessing to her family as well as to the Park County community. Ginnys passion for the ranch was evident to all who knew her. It was her sanctuary filled with beautiful flowers and her beloved peacocks roaming through the yard. Ginnys sense of humor and love for a good joke will be remembered by all. She was a class act, able to bring out the best in people through her kindness and understanding. Blessed be her memory. Ginny is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry.
