William Edward "Bill" Belderrain, age 91, of Livingston, Montana passed away on Thursday, April 9th, 2020. Cremation has taken place and a formal service is not planned at this time.Bill was born on December 2, 1928 in LaGrange, California. He was the only son of Eddie and Emma (Celle) Belderrain. He attended and graduated high school in Oakdale, California. He attended Modesto Jr. College and then enlisted in the Army. He was united in marriage to Betty Jane Gray on Jan. 23 1948 in Modesto, California. He enlisted on July 28, 1948 serving during the Korean War as a Paratrooper with the 187th Airborne known as the "Rakkassans." Bill completed two jumps during war time earning him the Korean Service Medals with three bronze stars, Presidential Unit citation with two Bronze Stars. He was discharged with high distinction on April 18, 1952.Once he returned to California, he began work with Martin Optical. He was a lens grinder, back when eyeglasses were glass. He worked for Martin for 30 plus years.After Bettys passing he moved to Montana where he lived life to the fullest near Mike and Ed, doing the things he loved most.He lived for fishing and was a remote-control airplane pilot. Bill was a huge fan of the San Francisco Giants and the 49ers, was a proud Veteran and was so devoted to his dog, Charlie Brown.He is survived by his sons, Dan, Mike and Ed; numerous grandchildren, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty; one brother and two sisters.Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
