William A. Brock, M.D., 67, of Gardiner, MT passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at home. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory, and a Memorial Service will be held 1 pm, Sunday April 27, at North Shore Country Club. Bill was born on March 29, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of Mary and Charles Brock. He was a graduate of the Xavier High School Class of 1963, the Fordham University Class of 1967, the Emory School of Medicine Class of 1971, and the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business Class of 2008. Bill was a Major in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era, where he served as a Base Surgeon and Hospital Commander. He was the recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal and a Letter of Recognition from the Surgeon General for his tour of duty overseas. Bill was Chairman of the Department of Urology at The Childrens Hospital and Health Center in San Diego and Associate Professor of Surgery, Urology and Pediatrics at the University of California. He then moved to New York and was Chief of the Division of Pediatric Urology at Schneider Childrens Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center where he established the Pediatric Urology Fellowship Program and was Professor of Urology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He merged his practice into Pediatric Urology Associates in 1993. He retired to Montana in 2009. Bill enjoyed sharing his love of reading, traveling, hunting, and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. Bill is survived by his: Brothers; Charles C. Brock of Manhasset, NY and David L. Brock of Gainesville, FL and their spouses Josephine Brock and Sharon Brock. Daughters; Christine Trexler of Wilmington, DE and Jessica Vernon of Frederick, MD and their spouses Barry Trexler and Ron Vernon. Grandchildren; Jack Vernon, Brock Trexler, MacKenzie Trexler, and Jena Vernon. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
