William D. Paul

William Duney Paul, 75, died unexpectedly at his home April 7, 2021. He was born December 12, 1945, in Arvin, California, the son of William and Virginia (Baker) Paul.William attended Oroville High School in Oroville, CA. After high school, he went to work as the first bus boy at Country Smorgy in Oroville, CA. He worked in the culinary profession before moving on to autobody painting and pinstriping. When a movie starring Henry Fonda came to Oroville, William became Mr. Fonda's bodyguard and personal driver for the next couple of years, and continued on in the movie Industry as a stuntman dolly grip and Key Grip. He was a member of the Eagles, IATSE Local 80, Drifters, Moose Lodge, and Elks Lodge. William is survived by his wife of 27 years , Cari Balmer Paul; daughter Tammy Paul Hollis (Jesse), of Oroville, CA, with granddaughter Heather Breceda (Loren Newton), with great-grandchildren Mya and Liam Newton, all of Chico, CA, and granddaughters, Taylor and Skylar Bergstrand, of Lincoln, NE; daughter Tonya Paul Petty (Richard), with grandaughter Jade Petty, all of Oroville, and granddaughter Jessica Petty Adair (Levi), with great-grandsons, Aiden and Elijah Adair, all of Huntsville, Alabama; son William Eddie Paul (Tammy), with grandson William Mitchell Paul (Jessica), and great-grandson William Lincoln Paul, and grandson Parker Robert Paul, all of Oroville; son Doug (Jingle) Cowden, of Newnan, GA; brothers Walter Duke Paul, Dallas Kemp Paul, Dusty Merle Paul, Danny Keith Paul; and brother-in-law Darin (Negar) Vierra; and many nieces and nephews.Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
