William "Billy" Lee Bentley

William “Billy” Lee Bentley, age 77, formally from Townsend, MT passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Fort Harrison Hospital in Helena.

Billy moved to Park County with his parents at a young age. Bill was a graduate of Clyde Park High School.  He then joined the Army serving his country for several years including in Vietnam.

After serving in the Army Bill worked in health care in Livingston, MT until he retired. After retiring he moved to Bozeman, MT and later to Townsend MT.

Bill was loved very much by his Mom and Dad.  Bill didn’t have any siblings, but he had many people in his life that cared very much for him.  He had a beloved pet cockatiel named Ducky.

There was never a dull moment with Billy, he was fun and always liked to grumble.  He tormented the cell phone and internet companies plenty.  At least until he learned how things operated, then he would be happy for a while... until he forgot. That was Billy, bless his heart.

Bill was proceeded in death by his father, Archie Bentley in 1972 and his mother, Bernice in 2012.

Survivors include his cousins; Jewell Anderson of Townsend MT, Bob (Nancy) Queen of Clyde Park, MT, Gail Bentley of Rolla, MO, and Donna Aucutt of Missoula, MT.

A graveside service at Park View Memorial will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 am.
