Zelda Joan (Hebnes) Cellucci was born February 22, 1929, in White Sulphur Springs, MT to Zella and John Hebnes. Zelda was one of nine kids. She was the fourth child but the first daughter. The family moved quite a bit due to work, until settling in Wilsall, MT, where she graduated from High School in 1947. Zelda was active in sports, which continued after high school into her adult years, during which time she was an avid softball player.
After high school she moved to Helena, MT. Within a few years, her sister, Mary, joined her there. The two saved money to move to Portland, OR to have adventures and discover new experiences. They made the most of the opportunity, and lived life to the fullest.
Zelda’s wandering, curious spirit led her to live in a number of places around the country, including Massachusetts and several places in California.
After getting married in 1955, Zelda became a fantastic mom to Elaine and Dan (Apollo). She raised and supported her two kids with consistent love and kindness. Zelda, Elaine, and Dan (Apollo) returned to Wilsall in 1968, where she lived until the early 1990s. At that time, she moved to Livingston, where she remained until passing on November 12th, 2022.
Zelda was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers (John Wilbur, Marty, and Jim), two sisters (Mary and Erma), and her son (Dan/Apollo). She is survived by her loving daughter (Elaine), her cherished grandson (Jesse), two brothers (Ted and John), one sister (Ella), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Even if she had next to nothing, she would find a way to give gifts to those she loved. Zelda will be remembered for her smile, constant thought of others, and generosity.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 2pm at Franzen Davis Funeral Home in Livingston. Anyone who wants to attend is welcome.
